Breaking: Choices in Motion

From Entertaining the World to Educating the Next Generation

Breaking changed the direction of my life. As Powerful Pexster, I experienced its power to command a stage, move an audience, and carry Bronx creativity around the world. But performing also gave me a greater responsibility: to protect the culture, share its lessons, and help the next, generation understand that every choice creates a consequence. Since 2008, my academic work and research into human behavior, economics, social structures, and hip-hop culture have shaped a larger purpose—reflected in my 2024 book, I Had a Dream: The New York City Breakers Story, and my 12-week Breaking: Choices in Motion curriculum.

My vision is to see young people transform their energy into discipline, conflict into creativity, and movement into opportunity.

My mission is to use authentic cultural education, mentorship, and breaking to teach responsibility, respect, self-control, teamwork, and positive decision-making.

This is bigger than entertainment. It is about preserving our history, building stronger communities, and empowering young people to move forward with purpose.

We Don’t Fight—We Break.

"One Positive Choice Changed My Life"

More Than Dance: Skills for Life

The Beat the Street Initiative uses breaking to teach self-control, discipline, teamwork, and the connection between choices and consequences. Students explore why we dance, learn the cultural history and vocabulary of hip-hop, and understand why “We Don’t Fight—We Break” represents peaceful competition instead of conflict. Each age-appropriate class combines safe movement, physical conditioning, creative expression, and Pexster’s Blueprint Method for writing, rehearsing, and performing complete routines.

RESPECT • RESPONSIBILITY • CULTURE • POSITIVE CHOICES

Cause, Choice & Effect
